Dr. C.A. Sabina is the Women’s Wing President of the Aam Aadmi Party, Kerala. A teacher by profession, Dr. Sabina brings with her over 35 years of teaching experience. She completed her B.Ed. and M.Phil. at Delhi University, followed by a Ph.D. from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala.
Her teaching career began in 1980 at St. Stephens College, Uzhavoor, and continued at BCM College, Kottayam, where she served as an Associate Professor in Botany. Over the years, she has worked with students across all age groups — from nursery to college level.
Dr. Sabina has also contributed internationally, particularly in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, where she educated children from the Indian diaspora, as well as Pakistani and other expatriate communities, during a time when formal schools for these groups did not exist. She also served as the Principal of the Embassy of India School in Jubail.
Born into a family of service, her father was an Indian Air Force officer, pilot, and war veteran. As a child, she experienced the 1965 and 1971 wars firsthand while living in Adampur and Kanpur. Her schooling was across multiple Indian states, completing her education at Kendriya Vidyalaya and later at Daulat Ram College and Hindu College under Delhi University.
Beyond academics, Dr. Sabina has actively engaged in arts, sports, and music. She led the career cell at BCM College and conceptualized visual educational presentations like ‘India: An Enigma’ (1998) and ‘Abhivadaye’, which explored teacher-student relationships.
Fluent in English, Hindi, and Malayalam, Dr. Sabina is also a passionate environmentalist who owns an organic farm in Kerala. Since joining the Aam Aadmi Party in 2022, she has worked extensively on women’s issues across the state and raised her voice on key environmental challenges, including the Brahmapuram waste management crisis and man-animal conflicts in Wayanad, Kannur, and Erumeli.
